Member Resources

  • Mental health exists on a continuum. It can change - move up and down the continuum depending on different circumstances - and can get better or worse. Depending on where we are on the continuum, different support mechanisms are needed.

  • Stigma – both personal or public – can interfere with seeking help and treatment. Talking about mental health and suicide can restore hope and provide a path for help and recovery.

  • Social connection is the primary protective factor for those experiencing mental health conditions, suicidality, and substance overuse/addiction.

  • 1 in 5 U.S. adults experience mental illness each year and 1 in 20 U.S. adults experience serious mental illness each year

  • 50% of all lifetime mental illness begins by age 14, and 75% by age 24

  • If you or someone you know is seeking support, there is help. Please contact 988 or text MARIN to 741741.
